Why are neutral ratings being removed from the Positive Feedback percentage?
Since the Feedback changes announced in May, 2008, buyers have significantly decreased the amount of neutral Feedback they are leaving for sellers – now less than 0.5% of all Feedback left is neutral and this percentage continues to decline. Since we have removed the ability for sellers to leave retaliatory Feedback, we are confident the neutral ratings being left now truly represent a “neutral” experience and are not left in an attempt to avoid retaliatory negative Feedback. In addition, our decision to retroactively include neutral ratings unfairly changed the rules on customers who believed neutral ratings would not count in the Feedback percentage – we needed to correct this.
