Why are nerds/internet folk/computer geeks almost exclusively male?
actually there are male & female nerds/internet folk/computer geeks. I am a male computer geeky nerd but I’m friends with a few female nerds myself. But I do have a theory to it all: Since most women care about attention (like their looks, whos’ popular/unpopular, etc.) I think its safe to say they there are more shallow women than men. But I am not saying all women are like this cause its not true. Since most of the pretty/popular girls are often seeking attention, they tend to want to fit into the norm. This is why sometimes it seems there are hardly any nerdy girls (I am not saying nerdy girls are ugly because I have met some pretty HOT nerdy girls). But you will hardly ever see a nerdy girl do what a popular girl does cause they have other interests. Finally, men make up the majority in the math & science departments, where women make up the majority of the Literature department.
