Why are my red eye tetras trying to kill eachother?
Red-eyed Tetras are not especially territorial or aggressive. They do some chasing of each other, but rarely attack each other to the point of causing injury. It might help to have a larger school of them, because then the aggression would be spread out over more individuals, so no single fish would be picked on all the time. Try increasing your stock to about ten red-eyed tetras. It’s preferred to keep discus with only other discus, although many people attempt to keep discus in a “community” setup, occasionally with success. Anyhow, you may have the same “pecking order” (intergroup aggression) among the discus.
