Why are my recorded files upsidedown and back to front?

This is because of the way your card conforms to video capture standards, unfortunately not all cards conform the same way. We are currently working on a fix for this, but in the meantime, try using RGB16 or RGB24 for your recording profile. The change can be made on ShowShifter’s ‘Video Compression’ page (screenshot), which you get to as follows: From the ‘Television’ (screenshot) or ‘Video Files’ page, click on the button with arrows pointing in (beneath the spanner button); on the page that appears (screenshot), note which profile you are using for recording, then click the ‘Edit Profiles’ button; on the page that appears (screenshot), select the profile you are using for recording, then click the edit video settings button (with a hammer on it, next to the ‘Video settings’ label); you should now be able to see the ‘Capture format’ setting that you need to change.
