Why are my morals and ethics more peaceful and evolved than the Christian Gods?
The Christian God does not exist, so to say “it” even has morals is meaningless. The morals portrayed as god’s in the bible were structured on men’s beliefs at the time. You could not expect the morals you find there to evolve without someone tampering with the scriptures, which has actually happened a lot more than you would think. There is still a lot in the bible that would need to change for “gods morals” to catch up with us. E.g.
You will never know how strong your ethics and morals are until they are put to the test by the situation you find yourself in. I feel that I usually fail usually in small ways but they are an indication of what would happen if the situation ever arose on a large scale. Therefore the request in the Lord’s Prayer of “—– Lead us not into temptation—” is a very astute and real plea.
