WHY ARE MOST AMERICANS SERIOUSLY OBESE?
Americans have become considerably more obese over the past 25 years. This increase is primarily the result of consuming more calories. The increase in food consumption is itself the result of technological innovations which made it possible for food to be mass prepared far from the point of consumption, and consumed with lower time costs of preparation and cleaning. Yes, Americans are lazy, and many don’t know when to stop eating, but with all the unhealthy fast foods surrounding them, of course that’s what they’re gonna eat. I think if healthy food could be cheap, fast, and really good, they would eat it. The people selling fatty foods, don’t want Americans to get healthy. They want to get as much money from them, without having to pay out extra money to make the food healthier. If our government was so worried about Americans and their obesity, I believe they would do something about it. But obviously they make money off of these ignorant obese Americans also.
