Why are monsoons dangerous?

0

Monsoons are not dangerous. The monsoon which blows over India is the most important one as the agricultural operations in that country entirely depends upon this monsoon. There will be crop failure if this monsoon becomes weak in a particular year.Sometimes, the torrential rain during monsoon season causes floods and affects the normal life for a few days. But we have to bear this occasional problem as the advantages we get is more. The monsoon, particularly the Indian monsoon forms due the unequal heating of the Northern Hemisphere(where land area is more) and the Southern Hemisphere(where sea area is more) in summer season(N.H) by the solar radiation. It is similar to the formation of land and sea breeze over coastal stations.
