Why are metal bands like Slipknot and Disturbed used for the music on modern thriller/horror films?
Hello there. I don’t think (as I have clearly expressed in my current question), that the music you like defines the way you are (this in relation to the fact you think metal is related to goth). But, if I’m honest, I think the main reason for the choice of metal music for the horror films, is to define the anger that the killers are feeling, or is descriptive of the violence and pain that people feeling, however, perhaps I have misconceived the use and it is just plainly because of the dark, heavy rhythm and sound of metal that is why the music was chosen. I can’t honestly tell you the actually reason, however, I hope you have gained an understanding of why it is used from this answer. Thank you for reading. Harry Lime, in response to your comment, I really think that you have a slightly disrespectful opinion and should consider the reasoning that everyone gives.
