Why are McCains service records open viewing, but his POW records are sealed tight?
I’ve had training in POW situations… in how to handle POWs and also how to survive being one. One thing for certain, if you are a POW in a non-geneva convention nation, you WILL be tortured in ways that you probably can’t imagine and ways I won’t divulge here. The goal is to get you to admit to ANYTHING. To completely break you and use you as a tool against your own country, even if only paraded on TV. Nobody who has gone through that experience would ever want to relive it and they wouldn’t want others to know about it either. So keeping it under wraps is in the best interest of the ex POW. Also, in this case, as Mr McCain is running for a political position (and not just any position either… For President), his political adversaries could use things in his POW files to discredit him… things which he would have had no control over.
