Why are many existing roads left off the Proposed Action maps?

0

Only roads that are proposed for public motor vehicle use are shown on the Proposed Action Map. Therefore, most roads currently managed as closed to public motorized use (Maintenance Level 1) or those closed year-round by a gate, are not shown. Unauthorized roads that exist on the ground but are not part of the forest transportation system or part of this proposal are generally not shown. Short routes to access dispersed recreation sites are displayed on the map. If you know of routes that are not on the map but could provide a good motorized recreation opportunity, please include that information in your comments.
