Why Are Longaberger Baskets an American Icon?
Well, in case you have not noticed, we have pointed out just how the company went through from scratch to what it is now today. It having survived numerous difficult times is enough proof of its resilience and resolve to weather such storms. This is something that Americans are largely associated with. We, as a people, have managed to survive even in the direst situations that not even the 9/11 attack weakened our resolve. This fact is greatly embedded into each of the Longaberger product. And this is something that other manufacturers of these products would like to capture. Others may produce similarly looking products but the ‘heart and soul’ of the Longaberger product – which is imbued in American heritage – will never be captured. Only an American Longaberger basket can be called an American icon.
