Why are litter and fishing gear harmful to the oceans animals?
With fishing gear, they are most likely to get caught in it. They could start to bleed and die, or be seriously injured, depending on what it is and how they interacted with it. Sometimes, the things that are not life threatening or things that will injur the animals, can create diseases, when rusted by the water.
