Why are listed ticket prices lower at Ticketmaster.com than at the Box Office?

0

Our venue utilizes the Ticketmaster system for concert ticket sales as it is the best way to reach a substantial portion of our customers. The price listed on a Ticketmaster event web page is only the base price of the ticket before any facility or convenience charges are added to the cost. The subsequent screen on the Ticketmaster site will then give you the full total for the number of tickets you have selected, including the base cost of the ticket, a facility charge, and a convenience charge. The prices quoted at the Box Office include the base cost and facility charge. Our Box Office does not assess the Ticketmaster Convenience charge, which will be assessed if you purchase online through Ticketmaster. There is a $2 per ticket box office charge on most purchases. This makes the Box Office the most cost- effective way to purchase tickets for any event held at our venue.
