Why are law enforcement employees in VaLORS and SPORS not allowed to choose the leave option?
The critical nature of the services provided by VaLORS and SPORS employees makes scheduling difficult. Additional employee time off could add to the problems of maintaining critical services, especially at this time of heightened national security consciousness. The decision to offer only the bonus payment will prevent the situation where you may have selected bonus leave time only to find your agency unable to allow you to use all or part of it.
