Why are large canvas works unmounted for international shipping?
Larger works are not mounted on frames if shipped internationally due to carrier cost constraints. Instead, international orders for large canvases are processed unmounted and carefully rolled in archival tissue and secured inside strong mailing tubes. These works are prepared with plenty of extra bleed around the image for mounting onto 40mm frames. International customers should organise with a local framers the simple task of having the work stretched.
