Why are Labrador retrievers so hyper?
Just like some people some Labs can be hyper. It depends on the breeder and the gene pool they use to breed. Labrador Retrievers love being with their owner or the whole family; good with children; not guard dogs, but will occasionally bark to protect the property or family. Labs need exercise and it’s possible that you aren’t taking your Lab out enough. Labs need a good run in a field or dog friendly safe park. Throwing a ball is a good idea. Obedience training is a must. Start taking your dog out at least twice daily, or, if you work then be prepared to take your Lab out for a long, long walk or a good run. I am sure if you do this your dog will calm down.
