Why are Jehovahs Witnesses discouraged from using the Internet for “witnessing” work?

Because they know it’s not as easy to indoctrinate people over the internet. They’d much rather knock on the door of your private property to try to pull you in. They are usually very pleasant and lovely people. All the JW’s and Mormons who have knocked on my door were polite and pleasant. I do respect them as PERSONS but not as Jehovah’s witnesses. I feel sorry for them that they are expected to knock on people’s door to spread the messages of their cult/sect. I especially feel sorry for their children. I feel sorry for the members who want to leave the sect as there is no ‘honourable’ way out and it is not easy to get out. Religion, or any beliefs, in my opinion, should be a private matter. Otherwise we might as well go knocking on each others’ doors every week to try to talk people into accepting our beliefs. A religion should not encourage their members to go doorknocking. If I want a product, I go to a shop to buy it or search on the internet and order it. It will be MY decision.
