Why are international issues not addressed in the Improved Decision-Making discussion paper?
The Pacific Salmon Treaty outlines the process for decision-making in the international context. Therefore, the focus of the IDM paper is on decision-making in domestic salmon fisheries. Fisheries and Oceans Canada will conduct separate bilateral consultations with the Province of British Columbia to establish their role in the Pacific Salmon Consultation Review process.
