Why are IMPACT Groups also involved in a field education ministry?
Genuine spiritual development will result in service to God and others. To become like Jesus, means that we will join Him in His priority of service to others. Jesus came not to be served but to serve. The importance of Gods heart in service is a significant commitment on the part Prairie Bible College. You should also note that the College is a member of the Accrediting Association of Bible Colleges, and thus the following criteria apply (from the AABC 2000 Manual): 1) A college must require that students participate in a program of Christian service. (Pg. 13) 2) Each students ministry assignment is to be systematic (normally weekly), require preparation, be adequately supervised, benefit the recipient, and contribute to the students development of ministry skills through direct contact with people.
