Why are IB students required to have a 7 period class schedule?
Each IB student is required to take at least one semester of 8 different classes during each school year. Five of those required classes need to be taken for both semesters, or in other words are year long courses. The remaining three required classes can be taken for just one semester, or both semesters if the student chooses to do so. For more information about the IB curriculum please click here.
