Why are horses kept in stables?
Courtney’s answer is the only one that makes sense. Horses are mainly stabled for the convienence of the humans who own and ride them, and for no other reason. Nature NEVER MEANT horses to live in confinement in stalls or paddocks, the way modern domesticated horses must do. After all, horses evolved on the Asian Steppes, and migrated to other parts of the world by way of the land bridges which once connected all the continents to each other. These animals evolved as grazers and as herd animals, and that’s how they were meant to live their lives. When human beings domesticated the horse, they also made the animals completely dependent on them for care- and NOT to the betterment of the animal, I might add.
