Why are high cholesterol foods detrimental to health?
High cholesterol foods are clearly associated with cardiovascular diseases. Fat consumed from the diet contributes to the amount of fat circulating in the blood stream. When cholesterol is being oxidized, it easily deposits along the artery wall causing atherosclerosis (narrowing of the arteries and causing impaired blood flow) or thrombosis. If cerebral thrombosis occurs, then stroke is expected whereby paralysis or death may follow depending on the seriousness of the affliction.
