Why are Helicopters so expensive to charter?
Helicopters are surprisingly expensive to purchase and maintain. Aircraft manufacturers are under so much scrutiny and liability that they have to charge a large portion of the purchase price just to allow for product liability and outrageous lawsuits. A manufacturer is liable for not only their aircraft, but each part that they produce and sell for ((((18 years ????)))).
