Why are having sharp lawnmower blades so important?
Having sharp lawn mower blades decreases the surface area of the cut by as much as four times. A shredded leaf blade or torn blade creates 4 times more water to escape from the plant by evapo-transpiration causing wilt and potentially death to the grass plant. By having sharp blades especially during July and August will greatly reduces the risk of wilt.
