Why are Green Jobs in the Construction Industry Becoming More Available?

0

Over the past 100 years, the average Earth temperature has increased 0.32 °F and along with other natural phenomena and anthropogenic greenhouse gases, that number is estimated to increase Earth’s temperature by 11.5 °F over the next 100 years. Global warming has become a serious threat to our future. As proposed by Barack Obama during his pre-election campaign, the President is looking forward to future energy independence by creating over 5 million new green construction jobs over the next ten years with with a $150 billion investment. Most of the construction jobs opening up due to the Green Jobs Initiative will be in Heavy Construction, which means that being trained as a crane operator, bulldozer operator, or other jobs operating heavy equipment will mean you are in-demand as these green jobs become available. Click here to apply for more information about becoming a heavy equipment operator.
