Why are goats a symbol for Satanism?
Ancient pagans had many gods that were horned beings that looked like goats, rams, half humans with horns. When Christianity took over, they took that symbol wich was a symbol of the god of the earth and a symbol of fertility, and said that it was negitive. Some pagans still use the Baphomet (an inverted pentagram with the goats head in it) as a symbol of great power. Satanists have picked up that symbol and warped it, and given it a negitive meaning for those who do not understand its actual meaning.
