Why are girls fields so small at AJGA tournaments?

Field size of the individual divisions is proportionate to the number of tournament applications received. Typically, the AJGA receives about 300 applications per tournament. Of those, generally 240 are boys and 60 are girls. For a 120-player field in this instance, we would play 90 boys (38 percent), 30 girls (50 percent). Back to the top.
