Why are gas prices going down? Does it have anything to do with the upcoming elections?
Gas should have never been how high it was … Oil companies just want to make more money … Prices need to drop a lot more to make it even with the price of a barrel … I feel that it does have something to do with the election so there may be a better chance for McCain and Palin to win if prices continue to drop.
Not really with the elections. Oil is down to $89 a barrel possibly because of all of the crap that’s going on in the stock market. It’s really hard to say why exactly things are fluctuating so much. Gas prices also go down in the winter because not as many people drive around as they do in the summer.
People like me are driving less, car-pooling, taking the bus, and bicycling, also. Bus ridership in my city has about quadrupled since last winter. We all predicted that gas prices would fall during the 3 months before the election, and they have. They did the same thing in 2004, right before the election.
