Why are food service upgrades needed at seven elementary schools?
Numerous changes to the food service model have dramatically altered how meals are served at a number of elementary schools. In many instances, the schools have used temporary spaces such as the gym, library, or front entrances to serve food. This can disrupt student learning and create hallway congestion. The 2009 school bond proposal would create dedicated food service areas at Fruitland, Karshner, Mt. View, Northwood, Pope, Ridgecrest, and Sunrise elementary schools.
