Why are floppy drives no longer available? How can we transfer files between school and home?
Floppy drives are considered “old” technology and have a high failure rate. We recommend using USB (flash) keys (or “memory sticks”) to transfer data. If the file is small, you can also e-mail the file to yourself. If a floppy drive is needed, the department can purchase an external USB floppy drive.
