Flat roofs often hold water and “pond” as a result of poor design or structural settling. Continually wet or ponded surfaces pre-maturely decay and cause roof leaks. Structural repairs to correct these defects can also be expensive. At RoofWorks, flat roofing is our specialty. RoofWorks uses a modern, rubber membrane, two-ply roofing system. Think of it as a waterproof carpet on your roof, only really tough and durable. This material is usually bonded or sealed using an open flame. At RoofWorks we always strip off and dispose of the old roofing. It’s not uncommon to find numerous layers of old roofing. This can drive up labour and dumping costs.
