Why are fire trucks sent with the paramedic when there is no fire?
In many cities the ambulance service is separate from the fire service, but the fire service is also equipped with personnel who have medical training (in some areas, they may even have a paramedic on the fire truck as well). Fire trucks will respond to a medical emergency because they are often able to effect a quicker response time.
