Why are fire fighter certifications not recognized in the curriculum?
Consideration of the type, level and focus of the training provided to fire fighters was discussed and reviewed. The committee determined that is was unnecessary to duplicate information already present in the fire fighter certification. Furthermore, the job performance requirements included in the fire fighter certification do not adequately match NFPA 1031 job performance requirements for fire inspectors.
