Why are Finish Line poultices called clay?

0

About 1992, the FDA was considering reclassifying poultices as a drug. FINISH LINE did not want to have this reclassification nor have to manufacture these products as drugs, since the increased costs associated with this would have raised the selling price exorbitantly thus forcing them to stop making it. As it turned out, the FDA did not go forward with this idea of reclassification, however the changed name “Clay” on their labels stayed. Click here for Kool-Out and Original Premium Clay.
