In ‘modern’ china with the one child rule, more of the abortions were of female fetuses. In history, the Chinese have considered of higher status and in modern day, they carry on the family line and family name. Yes, some feminists support abortion, but you’re asking specifically about sex selective abortion and in now, the number males is greater that the number of women in China.
