Why are female stand-up comedians not as funny as male comedians?
I think that’s an unfair judgment. A lot of male comedians rely on being offensive to make people laugh. There are fewer female comedians in the mainstreem, but perhaps that is because it was only the best allowed through the net, whereas Ive seen a large ammount of un-funny and un-clever male comedians “grace” the stage. There are wonderful female comedians, French and Saunders, Victoria Wood for example.
It’s a fairly agressive thing to do for a living. Although recently some women have become the top of the profession. ————— It’s the same with directing movies. Very few hit movies have been directed by women. Also female directors are usually middle-aged and have made a name in something other than direction. Many of the most succesful male directors started in their 20’s and many have never done anything else.
