Why are father-son relationships so important?
Society is in dire need of young men who stand for something, who make a difference, who respect themselves and others, who are God-fearing, who respect females. Where else is all of this learned but from their Dads? There is so much negativity in society. So many times we hear of dead-beat Dads who don’t care. My own sons (and daughters) experienced that. My wife brought ten children to our marriage from her first marriage. My sons saw what I would say were all the wrong things in a father in that relationship. The day I adopted these 10 children and they took my name, the day they said they wanted to be adopted was the greatest feeling in the world. I feel as a result a VERY STRONG demand to model the right behavior particularly for my sons. I learned from my Dad and wish I could let him know how much now that I am a Dad. Father-son relationships are important because children learn how to be responsible adults by observing their parents. Parents are the most important role models children will have in their life. Therefore in order for a son to learn how to become a man, a meaningful relationship between father and son must exist.” How could an assist from Eric Snow help you in your relationship with your son?
