Here is the official answer from the IDPA FAQ: “IF THE GLOCK MODELS 34/35 ARE PERMITTED IN SSP DIVISION WITH FACTORY INSTALLED EXTENDED SLIDE RELEASE AND MAGAZINE RELEASE, WHY CAN’T I PUT ONE ON MY GLOCK THAT DIDN’T COME FROM THE FACTORY WITH ONE? The key words here are “factory installed”. If the option is available from the factory on your pistol model it would be allowed if not specifically excluded in the rules. Should Glock decide to make these parts a factory option on other models then they will be allowed on those models even if not factory installed.
