Why are estimates for a concrete porch so diffrerent?
There could be a few things. First some of the contractors may be inexperienced in pricing or may just be giving you a low estimate while knowing that they will charge you more later so they will get the job. There may be ways that one or more plan to cut costs which could be good or bad depending on the methods such as if you have an existing masonary porch are they planning on removing only part of the old material and basically capping off with new which would give a huge price difference. are they experienced enouph to know to dig below the frost line and use the additional cement that would entail. are they planning on using a precast porch one could have noticed something like a large rock that would need to be removed costing extra if there is an existing porch are they including demolition of the old one. I would ask each to come up with a detailed plan of what they would give you for a porch everything from depth of footing to the use of rebar ect. I would also make sure they
