Why are EPCOR and AltaLink consulting with communities?

0

Gathering stakeholder input on the proposed route locations will help the Heartland Project Team narrow the options to preferred and alternate paths. EPCOR and AltaLink are committed to respectful consultation by actively listening and learning from stakeholder feedback and accommodating input (where possible) throughout the entire process. As well, the consultation conducted and stakeholder input must be included in the Facility Application, which we submit for approval to the Alberta Utilities Commission, our regulator. The AUC considers public consultation an important element of any application.
