Why are dogs so expensive in Perth, WA?
Oh, you are looking in the wrong places. Please don’t buy a dog from a pet store, they source their unhealthy pups are from puppy farms/mills. Also those who call themselves breeders and breed cross bred dogs are back yard breeders who don’t health test their breeding stock. I’m not sure what they’re called in WA I’m in Australia but in the Eastern States. They’re probably called DogsWA or contact the ANKC which is the national registry. They’ll put you in contact with ethical registered breeders in whichever breed you are looking for. You’ll get a well bred pup from health certified parents. There are plenty of ethical breeders of both Boxers and Labs. If you go to a website called www.dogzonline.com.au you will find at the bottom of the page ‘puppies for sale’. Click that link and it will take you to a page with all dog breeds listed. All breeders there are registered code of ethics breeders…no byb’s can advertise on that site.
