Why are deaf people so nosy?
it’s just a deaf community thing. But not only deaf people are nosy. When I went to teach English in Korea, everybody there was so nosy, asking me how old I was, if I was married, etc. I thought it was very nosy, but for them it was normal. People in different countries and different communities have differing ways of thinking about privacy. Some of them think it’s strange if you don’t answer all their questions! Lots of deaf people like to gossip and get to know as much about you as possible, to evaluate whether they like you or not. It’s just how it is.
