Why are CRB checks necessary?
CRB checks enable employers to comply with government legislation, compliance standards such as PCI DSS, and complement the ISA Vetting & Barring Scheme. CRBs help employers in the public, private and voluntary sectors to identify people who may be unsuitable to work with children or other vulnerable members of society, or anyone who might pose a threat to a business if they were to work with business critical data or other sensitive information such as customers’ personal or credit / debit card details.
