Why are covers used for comforters or duvets?
There are a couple of reasons. Firstly, it’s important to protect a down comforter from dirt & dust by covering it, and because down comforters generally need to be dry cleaned, the covers keep them cleaner longer. The duvet cover can easily be taken off and washed. Another reason covers are used is to change the look of the bedding decor without having to change the inner liner. Our duvet clips are easy to put on and take off when washing your cover.
