hey there, the shampoo runs out of the bottle easier so is left upright, while the conditioner is left in time whilst standing to pour down so its ready to come out when you need it, and plus it distinguishes between shampoo and conditioner easier as you know the feel of the shape of the bottles, easier for blind people too.
