Why are citations issued on Sunday?
Citations are given out on Sundays in an effort to keep emergency access to all the buildings available to the police, fire and emergency medical departments as well as maintenance, utility and food service functions. Citations are given for parking out of stall, parking within a coned off area, blocking a roadway, parked on a red curb, parked on a sidewalk or lawn, or violation of a space that is designated as disability or Service stall at the time of the violation. BYU parking permits are not required for Sunday parking.
