WHY ARE CHEESE CURDS YELLOW? WHY CANT THEY BE PINK OR CHARTREUSE?
A. An excellent question. Cheese Curds get their yellow color because they want to grow up to be Cheddar cheese. Some tend toward orange or even white. But I’m sorry, I have not seen pink or chartreuse. And I don’t ever really want to! Q. THIS IS EMBARRASING, BUT WHAT DO CHEESE CURDS TASTE LIKE? I’VE NEVER HAD ONE. A. Ahhh, you have so very much to look forward to. Cheese Curds have a very mild, salty flavor. They are cool and moist, not dry and crunchy like their distant, distant cousin, the Cheeto. Cheese Curds can come in flavors like Garlic, Spicy Cajun, Taco or Mild Ranch. No reason to be embarrassed, just relax and enjoy.
