Why are certain web sites blocked?
Web Sites are blocked because the material on these sites are normally not considered educational. If you need the site for educational purposes you may override the filter. Different logins have different privledges. Most sites are allowed using the teacher account. Teachers accounts can override many sites that are blocked. If the students are logged in they have less permissions and may need an override.
