Why are cellular phones the best communication medium for urgent-based communications?
Communication and Safety experts agree without argument, cell phone messaging is the best way to distribute emergency messaging on a personal level to a large group of people. Messages are private and discrete and can be sent to end recipients in a matter of seconds. Also, in civilized nations abroad, cell phones are carried by most people today. With there being 2 billion worldwide GSM mobile subscribers by the mid 2007, this is a communication method that cannot be ignored. Just five years ago, sources reported on the 1 billion milestone, which took 12 years to reach. Sources expect worldwide GSM (cellular) subscribers to hit 3 billion in 2012.
