Why are buffalo wings called buffalo wings?
According to lore, (as this has been debated as to who actually invented Buffalo wings) is that they were first made at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo New York, the owners wife was working when her children and some friends came in wanting something to eat, and since the kitchen was basically closed, all she had were some cut chicken wings left over so she fried them then tossed them in a butter and hot sauce blended sauce, and served them with Blue Cheese for dipping, the kids loved them, and it became a staple on the menu, so the name Buffalo Wings comes from the place they were invented.
